The suction lance is placed at the lower end of the suction hose, allowing it to be securely fixed in the tank. At the end of the lance, there is a stop valve with a strainer, which protects the suction hose from contamination and larger particles.
Various versions of suction elements are available, with or without a level sensor. The level sensor indicates the filling status of the backup tank.
